Uttar Pradesh Police has recovered the car used in the attack on Bhim Army chief Chandra Shekhar Aazad, who was discharged from hospital in Saharanpur on Thursday, a day after he was shot at by unidentified assailants.
Saharanpur police said they are checking footage of the crime and interrogating people to arrest the accused. “We have detained a few suspects. They are being questioned,” a senior officer said.
The car used by Aazad’s attackers was seized from Miragpur village in Saharanpur late Wednesday night. Its number plate showed it is registered in Haryana, PTI reported, quoting the police.
